What icy weather we've been having!
I was so longing and hoping to be in the mountains at this very moment with my dear friend Emily. But thanks to Mother Nature, I'm at my apartment in my bed watching Lifetime. I'm so bored. On the bright side, we're planning on rescheduling our weekend together for next weekend. If all goes as planned this will be a wonderful time to go as I've got a busy week coming up this week and will definitely appreciate a getaway thereafter.
My kiddo's IEP reeval is coming up and I just want it to be over. My kids are such a puzzle! It's frustrating having ten different people asking you ten different things and there not being one right answer. The life of a teacher. I just pray I can give my kids what they need and that their parents realize the importance of their involvement.
I've been holding onto my New Years resolutions rather well and keeping up with P90X. I think I can already start to tell a difference.
The weather has given me lots of rest. Franklin county was closed last Friday and we had an early release yesterday at 11:30AM. I was feeling rather frustrated by the end of the day and Sabrina was such a help as she suggested we needed to play hookie and go get some lunch (school was pretty much over by that time).
This past Thursday was super long! I had to stay at school until around 7:30PM for PTA night. I was feeling some kind of way about this. It's always so pointless for me to stay. For one, I only have one parent that I would need to meet with. And for another reason, I have to drive about 20 minute just to get back to the school since I'm itinerant. Thank goodness that PTA made dinner (lasagna and salad) or I would've really been an unhappy camper.
I was observed on Thursday as well. I would say it went okay, nothing too special. Oh, and I got my tablets today! Yay! I'll have to give them to the technology facilitator next week to program.
Sherissa, Mike, and Serenity came up last weekend for Reni's cheer leading competition. New Bern got 3rd place! They're going to the championship in VA in July! Hooray!
Last weekend I had a sleepover with two teacher friends of mine--Martha and Tina. We had such a fabulous time! I can't wait to do it again. I'm going out with Martha tonight and her friends to go dancing. I really need to get out. I'm so tired of being stuck in doors and it's only been about 1 day! I just need to get on the ball and finish all of my work. Ugh.
My buddy Carlos lives in Raleigh now! He made dinner for me the other week--it was delish!
Oh! And I've signed up for Color Mania 5k in Cary with A. I have my doubts, but he seems on board so I hope come April we have a good time doing it together.
Grad school is going okay so far. The content has been rather interesting too. Mostly read and respond type assignments, but I know the projects coming up are going to be a challenge. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant in the beginning, but I can do it! Wish me luck.
Well, I better make the most of this cold, icy day and finish my forum post for my global learning class.
Stay warm. :)
