I'm not going to talk about the State of the Union. I just felt it was an appropriate title being that I have it on TV right now. Unfortunately, I'm not really paying attention to it, but I do know they keep stopping every 2 minutes for applause. I'm going to need the President to ask everyone to hold their applause until the end of the speech. Just saying.
So, what's new in mi vida??? I made it to see my dear Emily at the beginning of the month. We had a lovely, lazy weekend together and I regret nothing. She spoiled me with friendship and food which I enjoyed. And baby Michael introduced me to Yo Gabba Gabba! I actually think our short visit together kind of "rekindled" our friendship. Not that it needed rekindling, but you know how things can be as you grow up.....
I went to The Cheesecake Factory with some of my lady friends at work. We had a great time...and rather crazy too. The power actually went out when we were at the restaurant so it was kind of eerie. This past weekend was pretty dull. I didn't do much. Oh well, I take that back. I went to see Abigail Washburn with my friend Natasha. What an incredible performance of music and culture! I really didn't know what to expect, but Abigal Washburn definitely exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend her. She performed a 2hr plus show while 6 months pregnant too. Crazy!
We had our Lifegroup Conversation the other night...that was pretty nice. I filled up on the refreshments. lol.
Yesterday was actually pretty good to be a Monday. Some ups and downs, but good overall. I presented my group project for one of my graduate classes and it went well. Even got some pretty awesome accolades from my group mates. Right after that I found out I got a perfect score on my first research paper for my online graduate class. All in all, a good day! On top of that Martha invited me over for dinner and made spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread. Yum! Oh, except for the fact that my laptop decided to be difficult and lock me out, therefore causing me to talk to customer service today telling me I'd need to reset my computer and lose all my files. Ugh. I guess the bright side is I didn't have too many files of extreme importance that would need to be deleted.
Oh, I finished The Perks of being a Wallflower. What a good book. Mildly depressing, but really good. I couldn't put it down. I need another book now...
Valentine's Day is coming up and I'm planning on getting dinner at Kanki with bff Ricky.
On a random note, I feel like I'm really becoming close and opening up with Sabrina, my co-worker. She's so awesome.
Well, I think I'm going to make my favorite snack now...kettle corn popcorn! And enjoy some tv until I get sleepy. Actually, I need to do some things to prepare for tomorrow...ugh....responsibilities and adulthood....
